Detroit Lakes
The 22nd annual celebration of art, crafts and lake culture returns to Detroit Lakes, Minnesota in early June. The festivities are centered around Washington Avenue, but spread out into downtown. Shopping is a major draw: 125 booths showcase local food, art and gifts at the outdoor market and Detroit Lakes merchants draw shoppers off the sidewalks with special events and sales. Take a break in the food court and beer garden and listen to live music on the outdoor Holmes Street Stage starting at 10 a.m. both days. Look for free crafts and activities for the kiddos too.
